Bravado Bras F.A.Q.
We get lots of questions about maternity, nursing and what bras to buy so here’s a few answers, if you can’t find what you’re looking for please just e-mail our customer services using our contact form
- When should I buy a new bra?
Maternity Bras: It’s generally when you find your normal bra becomes uncomfortable or starts to mark your skin, sometimes this is even before you know you’re pregnant! You’ll often find the band starts to get tight first.
Nursing Bras: Normally 36-38 weeks or if you think your baby has already started to engage (that’s when it drops down in your tummy and your start to breathe again)!
- My midwife has recommended a Bravado Bra – which one does she mean?
Generally we find that midwives recommend Bravado as a brand, rather than specific bras, but the traditional recommendation is for the Bravado Original Nursing Bra, which has been a top seller for nearly 20 years
- What about Underwire Bras – Are they safe?
We wouldn’t recommend normal underwires while you are pregnant or nursing, as some poeple think they can restrict growth and damage sensitive breast tissue. But new technology means that there is a solution. Soft underwires like those in the Allure Underwire Nursing Bra give excellent support without the drawbacks of traditional underwires.
- I am very sore when nursing, what’s the most comfortable bra to wear?
We know this is a common problem, so if you’re unlucky enough to suffer with sore breasts or even mastitis, you’ll need the most supple, flexible bra to keep you comfortable. The undisputed champion here is the Bravado Body Silk Seamless Bra, a one piece seamless bra that you hardly notice you’re wearing.
- I have a large cup size, which bra would you recommend for the best support?
It depends on whether you would like a ‘soft’ bra or an underwire. The Allure Underwire Nursing Bra gives excellent support, but if you prefer a softer option then the Bliss Nursing Bra with its Flexi-Fit channel give lamost as good support – with no wire at all
